What are you doing for New Year’s Eve? I hosted a party last year and we had a good time so we’re doing it again. You might have noticed that I mention spiced cider in older posts – it’s because I love it. Kevin makes the absolute best cider and he’s whipping up a batch tonight. Here’s his very simple and tasty recipe:
4-5 cups cider, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, 3 ounces spiced rum (optional), cinnamon sticks to garnish. Bring it to a simmer and turn the heat on low or pour into an insulated dispenser.
Otherwise we’ll have the usual fare – beer, wine, non-alcoholic holiday punch and of course, champagne. Be safe, be merry and Happy New Year!
